Annual Convention
The MPEA Annual Meeting will be held May 17 & 18.

The meeting will begin Friday afternoon with registration which is to last from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and is scheduled to conclude Saturday afternoon by 3 p.m. so members can get on the road.
As in the recent past, a banquet dinner will be provided Friday evening. At this dinner, outstanding members are recognized for their work on behalf of fellow union members and one will receive the Morey/Bukvich Award for his/her accomplishments in serving MPEA members. Saturday’s business session will begin with registration from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. There will be reports from MPEA President Dan Dolan and Executive Director Quinton Nyman, who along with MPEA lobbyist Tom Schneider, will report on the activities and outcomes of the 63rd legislature.
At all Annual Meetings in odd numbered years members attending nominate members for the position of president, all four vice presidents, secretary-treasurer, and the regional directors from the Region 4 and Region 5. MPEA bylaws provide that someone nominated without opposition is elected.
MPEA will also provide a continental breakfast and buffet luncheon for members and their families on Saturday and following this there will be a return to training sessions. During the buffet the winners of MPEA’s two $1500 scholarships will be announced. Scholarship forms are now available and can be downloaded from the MPEA website.
